We took the train back down the mountain with a few stops. We got off in the town of “Grindlewald.” There are a lot of shops, restaurants and even hotels that are closed in November. They take time off and come back in the high season, winter. There is still a lot of snow but you can still see traces of fall around. We walked around Grindlewald got a drink and of course some yummy Swiss Chocolate.
We took the train back into Interlaken and ate lunch. We walked around town for awhile. We headed back to the hotel to go to the spa. There was no one there it was nice and so relaxing!! The girl at the front desk said the high season December through about March then again in June through the summer months you can’t get a seat in the lobby and internet is hard to get because everyone is on! It was very nice not to have all the crowds. We hardly saw anyone and they treated us like we were the only guests. We did see others….but it was still nice. The hotel is a four star hotel and very nice. We have a beautiful view of the Alps from our room. We ate dinner at the hotel.
